Synopsis

The life of music teacher Nina flows tediously and monotonously until, one rainy February evening, her former classmate Lena unexpectedly visits her. Despite the fact that they have not seen each other for ages, Lena knows everything about Nina’s life. That she makes a living giving music lessons, and that her husband Sasha is a scholar, like most of her colleagues 

who live on grants. She also knows that their only son Georgy is studying in Germany. 

Lena asks Nina for help. Her son Kolya unexpectedly participates in a dangerous fight between two groups of friends. Many of them are wounded and one of them is in a serious condition. Kolya and his friends have to hide from the victim’s father, who is planning to avenge his wounded son, so Kolya urgently needs to be sheltered. Lena, completely deprived of peace, begs Nina to hide her son for a while and to keep his presence in the strictest confidence. Nina is nervous about her friend’s unusual request, but still agrees. 

On the same day, Kolya moves in to Nina’s home. He is placed in Nina’s son’s room and is strictly forbidden to communicate with the outside world.  As soon as he is left alone, the young man inspects the apartment, finds a phone, and despite the strict prohibition of contact with the outside world, he still calls someone… 

The presence of a young man in Nina’s apartment changes their usual family life, making the owners afraid of all strangers.  And their already boring life becomes utterly secluded. For security reasons, Nina’s husband puts a peephole on the door. 

One day an insistent doorbell starts to ring in the apartment. Nina opens the door. A pretty stranger with a daring expression stands in the doorway and asks for Kolya. In panic, Nina slams the door in front of her nose, but the stranger does not leave. For Kolya, the arrival of the girl is not a surprise. He lets her into the apartment. The young people embrace and kiss tenderly in front of Nina. The unexpected guest moves in too. 

The appearance of a young couple Kolya and Nika turns around Nina and Sasha’s life.
